Our Organization
Hurricane Soccer is a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Established as a Youth Soccer Club, but also as a Community Charity organization. Hurricane Soccer welcomes all people from different financial circumstances, socioeconomic classes, cultures and beliefs. We will not discriminate against any individual on the basis of gender identification/classification, race, color, religion, sex or national origin. We support TOPSoccer, organized by Indiana Youth Soccer Association volunteers, for the physically and mentally disabled soccer athletes.

Our Approach
We believe that our program is built on sportsmanship. Our volunteer coaches undergo coaches training, complete with Concussion Protocols, to help maximize player safety, and to encourage a fun, safe environment for our players to learn the game of soccer.

We teach players the basics of soccer; develop their skill, & they get more playing time. With less athletes on the bench, on the field they all get more touches on the soccer ball to learn to be confident on and off the field!

Our History
Hurricane Soccer was established in 1981 as Huntertown Lions Club Soccer. Since 2000, we have been an Associated Club of Indiana Soccer as Huntertown Hurricanes. In May 2019, we updated our name to Hurricane Soccer Inc. Along with the change of our name, we changed location for Fall 2019 to Byron Health Center property.

We started off at Huntertown Elementary School property (on the baseball diamonds), then in 2007, we moved to the parking lot of the Allen County Fairgrounds. In Fall 2022, we made our final move to our current location at Pathway Community Church.

  • Established in our Community for 40+ years
  • We are Family, we love our Soccer Family
  • We grow young leaders with Core Values
  • We train the team, not just the individual - Teamwork
  • We are an Anti-Poaching Club - we develop our athletes, we don't seek talent and serve to just those athletes

What we offer
Rec - Our Rec program is from U4-U18s or 3-18yr olds. Our U13+ Rec is just Friday Night pickup games, no Coaches, teams are "School Yard" pick before each game and a Referee to keep them safe! Otherwise, the U4-U12s games are held on Saturdays.

Select - Our Select program is offered to U8-U18 athletes, they practice once per week and have 1-2 games per week.  These games are against other Rec Clubs that are also in the North East Select Soccer League in our area. The U8-U9 select players also play on a house Rec team.

Travel - Our Travel program offers committed and established Boy's and Girl's Teams, from U9-U18.

During the Fall season, athletes on U9-U15 Teams will participate in Indiana Soccer League (ISL) Travel, that is the limited travel for the 4th - 2nd division.

NOTE: ISL Policy - any opponent's Clubs more than 2 hours and 15 minutes away will be played at Neutral complex between the two clubs.

Games will be between 6-8 ISL games in Fall Season with two team practices per week and optional Academy Practice (technique/skills training). Each team will participate in two tournaments, depending on Coach/Manager decision and/or player availability.

During the Spring season, U9-U18 Teams will participate in ISL Travel (SAME as Fall). Each of those teams will participate in two tournaments, depending on Coach/Manager decision and/or player availability.
